About Us...

The Rosanna Photographic club was founded in 1959. We are a group of amateur photographers spanning a multitude of ages who meet fortnightly to share photographic experiences with other self-minded individuals.

Rosanna is fortunate to have a stable core of members with outstanding knowledge of the photographic world. This knowledge is passed onto members thus ensuring that the standard of work is maintained at a high level and that members seeking a challenge are satisfied.

As a service to the community, the Club has held a photographic auction for the Leukaemia Auxiliary Royal Children's Hospital where over $2,500.  We have also recently raised and donated almost $1000 for the Black Saturday bush fire appeal .

Club Activites...

The club meets at 8.00pm twice a month on the first and third Thursday night in the hall at St. Pius X Church at 431 Waterdale Road, Heidelberg Heights (Melway 31F2).

Our club rooms are only 2km and 4mins from our old club rooms in Rosanna.  See map here.

Our meeting room is the grey roofed building at the rear of the carpark (which will be open and lit at night) and can be seen by clicking here.

At our club meetings, we do not get carried away with formal meeting procedures and endless reading of minutes. We encourage discussion, have guest lecturers, and offer some of our prints and digital images for viewing to gain some practical feedback and positive encouragement. One newcomer, when asked what was our club's single most appealing feature replied in the "warm and friendly" atmosphere.

The club's activities include a variety of lectures, in-house competitions judged by a variety of top judges and interclub competitions. In addition, there are numerous activities ranging from theatre excursions, a long weekend away, and field trips, some conducted in conjunction with our sister country club Colac Camera Club.
